Eat Healthy Foods before Donating Blood

When a person donates blood, a common issue takes place after donation of blood are like they feel tired or even fainting. This feeling is a temporary one and it is mainly happening to the donors who donate whole blood which burns 600-750 calories. But is not the right reason for the faintness because people who are doing a workout, they can burn 600 calories from their body.

So you need an enough calories in your body before you donate blood. So choose a healthy food or food containing high calories which helps you to avoid unnecessary feeling of tiredness, after the blood donation.

Here the list of food which contains high calories.

1. Take a fresh veggie salad

2. Fresh watermelon slices

3. Fresh juice without sugar – Strawberry, Peach, and Pineapple.

4. Nuts- Almonds, Cashews, Peanuts.

5. Grilled chicken and eggs

6. Dark Chocolates and chocolate milk shakes

Along these foods, don’t forget to drink more water. Water is more important to our body which helps to digest all foods which you have taken. Consuming enough water helps to maintain good hydration level in your body.
